2024 was a transformative year for Unlimited Faith Ministry! Marked by significant growth, we expanded our reach and deepened our impact on the lives of those we serve. Below is an overview of our 2024 activities, both in prisons and in Guatemala. While this is not an exhaustive list, it highlights some of the key moments from the past year.

We could not have done this without your support. Your generosity has allowed us to continue this work, and we are deeply grateful. Time and again, we witnessed God’s supernatural provision. Often, Julio received a word from the Lord about a particular need we hadn’t anticipated, and miraculously, the financial provision always came through—thanks to you. May God bless you abundantly for your cheerful and willing heart to give. We thank God for you and appreciate your partnership in this ministry.

Prison Ministry in 2024

✝ Bible Studies and Services

In 2024, Julio had significantly increased opportunities to share the Word of God at NBCI, equipping men to become strong soldiers for Jesus. Julio led Bible studies during recreation time—twice a day for eight months—until the prison schedule changed. Now, Bible studies occur once daily. These studies have been instrumental in strengthening faith, transforming lives, and helping men let go of their pasts as they draw closer to Jesus and each other. Even when Julio cannot attend, the men gather on their own to study God’s Word. Once a month, and for birthdays, the men cook meals together (using a microwave and commissary-purchased food), pray, and fellowship, creating opportunities to share the gospel with others. In 2024, the men gathered for over 480 Bible studies!

Additionally, Julio continued leading Thursday church services, which began in 2023. The prison administration initially allowed all inmates to attend, then restricted it to Spanish speakers only. Julio is a gifted translator and he leads the service is both Spanish and English. We are currently working to convince the administration to reopen services to all. Despite these challenges, an average of 17 men attended each week, including former rival gang members who renounced their affiliations and are now growing in their relationship with Jesus! In total, 44 services were held in 2024. Julio was also able to hold a baptism in March.

We did face opposition from the prison administration, which attempted to limit or remove services for a variety of reasons. However, God has granted Julio favor with the chaplains, enabling him to navigate these challenges with wisdom. Please keep this matter in prayer. Many men, drawn to the service and the depth of biblical teaching that Julio holds, have voiced their desire to the administration to attend the Thursday service. We trust in God’s favor for the administration to allow broader participation in 2025.

✝ Providing necessities, making connections, and building relationships with inmates and their families

Unlimited Faith Ministry continued to bless men at NBCI by covering costs for phone calls, commissary items, hygiene products, batteries, envelopes, paper, and stamps—small but crucial items often not provided by the prison. Every month, Julio prayerfully identifies men in need and provides these essentials, which frequently open doors for gospel conversations and tangibly demonstrates the love and care of Jesus.

The ministry also supplied Bible concordances, dictionaries, Bibles, communion elements, and anointing oil for services.

Additionally, Anna Aguilar, Julio’s wife, along with Brother Chris Blaise and Sister Virginia Brown, regularly connect with inmates through phone calls and the prison’s messaging system to offer encouragement, ministry, and prayer. Anna spends extensive time engaging with inmates through the messaging app and via phone. Brother Chris does the same and has also reached out to inmates’ families to extend Jesus’ love beyond prison walls. Anna and Virginia have even visited inmates in person together.

Anna and Julio also assist inmates’ families—helping them understand visitation rules, messaging apps, and financial systems, and helping them reach their incarcerated loved one when they can’t and supporting them if their loved one passes away, is sick, and so forth.

In 2024, several inmates, despite their own financial hardships, donated money to Unlimited Faith Ministry. This is remarkable given the difficulty of earning income in prison. Their generosity is a testament to God’s transformative work in their lives. God loves a cheerful giver!
